Juma πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡·Cleaning, Haus Hiltl

Alsalam wa’aleikom, I am Juma and I greet you warmly in my mother tongue “Tigre”. πŸ‘‹ I was born in Eritrea, but lived in Sudan before I came to Switzerland in 2014. 😌 There I was a farmer with my 8 brothers and also return every year to help them with the harvest. πŸ‘¨πŸŒΎπŸŒΏ Life in Switzerland is totally different: I have loads of free time, weekends, vacations and don’t have to work 80+ hours a week. Oh yeah, we have it really good! πŸ™If you’re wondering what I do at Hiltl: I’m part of the cleaning team and make sure everything is spotless. ✨☝

Hiltl is not only my place of work, but also my new home. Here I have found several brothers and sisters! πŸ’šπŸ˜ In addition, the food tastes delicious, but my favorite dish is missing: Kisra with Muluchiya – paper-thin flatbread with a kind of spinach sauce. 🀀 This dish is hard to find in a restaurant, so please do me the favour and try to recreate it at home, you won’t regret it. 😜

I’ve always wanted to come to Switzerland as I’m a big FC Basel fan – but prefer to live in Zurich (sorry, Basel). 😏 Nevertheless, I miss a piece of home. Since I’m in Switzerland, I wish for nothing more than to have my family by my side. πŸ’ž My wife and my 3-year-old daughter still live in Sudan and I miss them every day. Hopefully I can hold them again soon and show them the whole world. πŸ’–πŸ’« That’s all I want – who needs material things when you can receive love?
