That means hello in Tigrinya, my national language. 🇪🇷 My name is Hagos and I have been working as a shift manager for the cleaning department at Haus Hiltl since 2015. 💚 For a while I tried to implement my skills at the buffet, but then I decided to join the cleaning team again. My motto at work is to have fun and always laugh. 😁👍 Originally I’m from Eritrea, where I had to guard the border to Ethiopia as a soldier after school. As I no longer wanted to put myself in this situation and hoped for a better future for my family, I decided to leave Eritrea. After a long journey through Ethiopia, Sudan, Libya and Italy, I finally arrived in Switzerland in 2010. 🇨🇭 Here I practiced German diligently and completed an internship in the cleaning department. It was a very lonely time without my wife and 2 children. 2 years later I was fortunately allowed to bring my family to me and now we live happily together in Zurich. 🏠
I am really grateful that I got the chance to live in Switzerland. Not only for me, but also for my children. I therefore hope that everyone in Switzerland will remain satisfied and strong. Yekeniyeley, thank you. ☀
