Hej allihopa! 🇸🇪 🖐 Jag är Caroline – from Sweden and Switzerland. So for those I meet while traveling: “Ah yes, Swedezerland” 🤯 😂 Despite the confusion, life in Sweden’s very different from Switzerland: everything’s more open, slower, and free. 🥰 ✌ At Hiltl, people are the same. 🤗
At 16, I was diagnosed with burnout and with diabetes. 😔 That’s when I needed a change of scenery and moved to my family in Sweden. There we were sitting in a restaurant one evening when the owner approached me and said, “Love your vibe, do you want to work for us?” And I’ve been in gastronomy ever since. 🥺 🌞 After the lockdown, I started as a barista at Hiltl Sihlpost and accidentally became vegetarian – super easy with this delicious food! 😁 When I started here, my grandma told me that Hiltl was my grandfather’s favorite restaurant. He’s definitely looking out for me. 💖
For love, I was drawn back to Switzerland and now my boyfriend and I want to travel by van in a few years. 🛣💞 Someday I’ll open a Scandinavian-inspired café – all plant based, of course. 💚🌱 Until then, I’ll just let everything come to me and trust in life – it will be fine. ✨
